Woolley & Co, Solicitors was founded in 1996 by Andrew Woolley an experienced family and business solicitor. Andrew wanted to set up a different kind of law firm, avoiding expensive town centre locations, stripping away additional layers of secretarial and junior staff between client and their lawyer and using the latest technology to provide an efficient service.
The firm’s business model is now a great success and benefits divorce and family law clients throughout the UK and indeed all over the world. Andrew is now a regular on the speaking circuit, explaining how the virtual model works.

Woolley & Co is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales and is regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
The ‘head office’ of the firm is in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire and we operate throughout England and Wales and also have clients who are British expats living abroad. In today’s world of telephone, email and mobile communications our lawyers are no longer restricted to handling cases only in their local geographic area.

Family Lawyers
All Woolley & Co family lawyers are very experienced and specialise in divorce, separation, children’s law and financial settlements on divorce. A number of our lawyers are a member of Resolution and accredited family law advisers. Each lawyer works from a local office base and meets clients at a time and location that is mutually convenient – there are no town centre offices and no insistence that you come to us for meetings.
Using the latest technology we can turn documents around very quickly when a case demands it and by providing direct dial and mobile telephone numbers as well as individual lawyer email addresses you can be assured that your lawyer will be available to you when you need them.
Service Standards You Should Expect
Although we are a different type of firm that doesn’t mean different legal standards or quality of service - in fact if it does it tends to mean better standards of service, at least that’s what our clients tell us.
At Woolley & Co we will:
- Allocate an experienced divorce and family lawyer to your case
- Always provide direct telephone and email contact details for the lawyer working on your case
- Use email where possible to speed up communication
- Answer your phone calls to the firm personally wherever possible
- Provide voice mail which your lawyer has direct access to when they are out of the office
- Provide a fixed fee where possible
- Provide the contact details for the senior partner at the firm should you
- have any problems that cannot be resolved by your lawyer
Because we are different it’s probably worthwhile also noting the following:
- All our divorce and family lawyers are senior, experienced and qualified professionals, either solicitors, legal executives or barristers. We do not have any trainees.
- In response to client needs we are often able to complete work on a fixed fee basis – providing peace of mind that you know how much the work will cost and are not running up bills you feel are out of control
- To keep costs down for clients and assist in budgeting all clients are billed monthly and all invoices are required to be cleared within 14 days.
- We are not cheap. We offer an excellent level of service and use only experienced lawyers – as they say “you get what you pay for”.
